Featured Snippet Checker
Check whether a keyword has a featured snippet, who owns it, and how to win it.
What this tool does
The Featured Snippet Checker looks up the live Google results for your keyword and tells you whether a featured snippet exists, and if so, who owns it and what text won it — quoted so you can study exactly what Google chose to elevate. You also get the People Also Ask questions and top organic results from the same SERP for context.
Featured snippets are 'position zero': the answer box above the regular results that takes a disproportionate share of clicks and gets read aloud by voice assistants. They're also unusually winnable — Google frequently swaps snippet holders, and studies consistently show most snippets are pulled from pages ranking in the top five, not just position one. If a snippet exists, you can usually see why it won: a tight 40–60 word definition, a numbered list of steps, or a clean table. If none exists, a well-structured answer can claim an empty throne.
Check your target keywords, note the format the snippet uses, and structure your answer to match it — one crisp paragraph, list, or table high on the page. SirWritesALot's editor flags snippet opportunities as you write.
