See exactly how your title and meta description will look in Google — before you publish.
Roughly 50–60 characters stays safe on desktop and mobile.
Roughly 140–155 characters avoids the mid-sentence ellipsis.
What this tool does
The SERP Snippet Preview Tool shows you a pixel-accurate mockup of how your page will appear in Google search results on both desktop and mobile. Type your title tag, meta description, and URL, and watch the preview update live. The tool measures your title and description in pixels — the way Google actually truncates them — not just characters, and warns you the moment either one crosses the cutoff threshold.
This matters because character counts alone are misleading. Google truncates titles at roughly 580 pixels and descriptions at around 920 pixels on desktop, which means a title full of wide letters like W and M gets cut shorter than one full of narrow letters. A truncated title loses its ending — often the part carrying your brand or your hook — and a snippet ending in '…' reads as unfinished and less trustworthy.
Everything renders locally in your browser with no signup and no limits. Polish your snippet here, and when you're ready to optimize the entire page behind it — headings, terms, structure, internal links — SirWritesALot scores it all against the pages currently winning the SERP.
